The Loftden: Donal's personal studio space.

Picture
Before heading into the professional studio to start putting down the finished tracks, I like to take time working on the new tunes at home to get a better idea of where they are going, what instrumentation works best for that particular track and where it might sit in respect to the overall finished product. Studio time can be very expensive, particularly if the project is a big one, and so the more work done on the tracks as a whole, beforehand, the better. It also gives the other musicians who may be performing on the tracks, in the professional studio, a chance to build up a better idea of the structure of the song, that is if they don't already know it. Here are some quick snap shots of The Loftden, my home studio space where I try and do something productive musically!
